After School Program

The Afterschool Program is offered to children in our city school system. The fee is $37.50/child/week. Our drop-in rate for After School is $7.50/per child per day. The school bus named "Mickey Mouse" brings the children after school to the Sportplex. We provide snacks and drinks for the children. They are offered the opportunity to play in the park, as well as study time.. We currently have 40 children participating ranging from ages 5-12. Day Camps

We host intercession day camps during the school breaks (spring, summer, fall, and winter). Activities include field trips, games, imagination station playtime, swimming, swimming lessons, bowling, skating, and many more. The price is $75/week. Discounts will be given for city employees and siblings. You may also sign up on a day to day schedule at $15/day which is our "drop-in" fee. These prices include 2 drinks and 2 snacks each day. This price also includes lunch. Your child may also bring their lunch.  Program hours are 7:00 am - 5:15 pm.

Sports

The Alexander City Parks and Recreation Department hosts many youth league sports programs, including Baseball, Softball, Basketball, Wrestling, Spring & Fall Soccer, Flag Football, Cheerleading, and Gymnastics.
